After spending nine years working as an apprentice for Kenzo Tange, he went on to establish his own firm, Arata Isozaki Studio, in 1963, and since then has earned a reputation across the globe for his notable buildings in Asia, Europe and America. He was awarded the RIBA gold medal in 1986.
Ken Tadashi Oshima is an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington's Department of Architecture. Educated at Harvard, U. C. Berkeley and Columbia, Dr. Oshima's publications include Crafting a Modern World: The Architecture and Design of Antonin and Noémi Raymond (2006) and Visions of the Real: Modern Houses in the 20th Century (2000).|
