Ron Arad behind the scenes in his London studio

As the new Holon Museum nears completion, the designer gives a tour around his London workshop

Israeli-born Arad first made his name with Rover Chair - a chair created from an old car seat - and is most famous for his contribution to industrial design. As well as the new Design Museum in Holon, other forays into architecture include the Maserati showrooms in Modena and the Magis headquarters in Treviso.

He is currently the subject of a retrospective exhibition at the Barbican in London.
