William Kentridge: Anything is Possible

Opening hours:

The much-anticipated documentary on South African artist William Kentridge will be officially premiered on PBS this evening at 10pm (ET).

Produced by Art21 - the organisation behind the award-winning television series Art in the Twenty-First Century - the hour-long programe follows Kentridge as he works in his studio creating animations, music and video and explores his techniques and the philosophy behind his work.

One of the most dynamic and prolific artists working today, the rich historical references and undertones of political and social commentary inherent in his work - which includes shadow puppets, tapestries and video installations as well as charcoal drawings and animation -earned him an inclusion in Time magazine’s 2009 list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
