PHotoEspaña 2010
Madrid plays host to the best in international and Spanish photography
‘Time’ is the overall theme for the 13th PHotoEspaña Festival, which runs until 25 July. Over 370 artists from 41 different countries will be featured in this year’s festival, which remains a major forum for international as well as Spanish photography and visual art.
A key part of PHotoEspaña is the Best Photography Book Award, which profiles the pick of the crop in photography publishing from the previous 12 months. Phaidon’s Ancient Light, by renowned astronomer/photographer David Malin has been nominated for the Best International Photography Book category, and will be on show with the rest of the shortlisted works at Matadero Madrid for the duration of the Festival.
