Watch a preview of Powell & Pressburger's 'The Red Shoes' (1948)

Martin Scorsese, renowned film director, screenwriter, producer and actor, is curating the Paradiso Outdoor Cinema at this year's Port Eliot Festival (21-24 July). Amongst his selection of film classics is Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger's The Red Shoes from 1948, starring Moira Shearer, Marius Goring and Anton Walbrook. This musical will be paired in a double-bill with All About Eve (1950) by Joseph L. Mankiewicz.

Heather Stewart, Creative Director of the BFI, which helped programme the films, said: 'It's the BFI's mission that archived film is seen by new and broad audiences so we're delighted to be working with Port Eliot Festival to expand the selection of classic and unexpected archive films into their wonderful programme of arts and nature events.
